06 Apr Making the best of a pig’s ear
In the current climate of job uncertainty and the pressures placed on families due to the combined impact of the economy and the COVID-19 crisis, most people, if they do decide to separate, want to do so quickly and amicably.
It is hoped that once there has been an adequate exchange of disclosure information and documents, an agreement can be reached about how your property will be divided and/or what parenting arrangements will be in place.
In the event an agreement is reached, a joint Application for Consent Orders can be made to the Federal Circuit Court or Family Court of Australia. This is a straight forward and relatively inexpensive process which we are more than happy to assist you with.
It is always wise, despite the economic times, to obtain independent legal advice prior to entering into any agreements.
If you have any questions or wish to discuss your circumstance with one of our Family Law Solicitors, please do not hesitate to contact our office on 02 4929 2225.
